"An elegant Saint-Nicolas de Bourgueil!

"Unpressed berries and 9 months' ageing in truncated wooden vats for this solar Cabernet Franc, with its heady scents of very ripe red fruit and caramel. Full-bodied, rich, long and flavorful, infused with bigarreau jam, the palate reflects a beautiful, gourmet expression of the vintage". (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2024)

Rated wine (guide 2024 ) 91/100

Domaine rated (guide 2025) 2*Stars (These great estates, often endowed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, must be included in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).

About the wine:

La Mine displays the bright expression of Cabernet Franc, a dapper wine, offering the fruity tenderness of this vintage on the attack and a slightly firm finish. Leave it in the cellar for another year.

About the domain :

Benoît joined the family domaine in Bourgueil in 2003 to continue the family adventure initiated by his father Yannick in 1997. The vineyards are divided between Bourgueil (two-thirds) and the neighboring Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil appellation. You can sense the winemakers' perfectionism and their desire to restore the expression of terroirs through very silky, civilized Cabernet Francs that still retain their bright fruit. The estate has been certified organic since 2009, and each year the wines gain in purity thanks to increasingly accurate vinification (truncated wooden vats, stoneware barrels and jars). The 2022 and 2023 delight us with their frank, clean expression and finesse.
