The Domaine de La Bastide Blanche, owned by the Bronzo family, is located in the heart of the Bandol terroir, at the foot of the commune of Le Castellet, in the Var department of France. It is on this emblematic terroir that Bastide Blanche, made up of vines aged from 40 to 80 years, flourishes in an amphitheater of hills permeated by the scent of the Mediterranean Sea. Facing south, south-east, the vineyard is planted on predominantly clay-limestone soil. Its proximity to the Sainte-Baume massif means that La Bastide Blanche is naturally tempered by the sea breeze, swept along by the mythical Mistral north wind. The vineyard extends over 50 hectares of vines partly planted on hillsides and restanques, but in a very fragmented way, offering Bastide Blanche a plurality of soils that brings a complexity appreciated in the estate's wines.
Freshness and density in this Bandol red, with a nose of black fruits and spices. The palate is sapid, buoyed by elegant tannins, with a floral, spicy finish.
"A southern white with a refreshing finish on notes of aniseed and white peach!"
Its aromatic palette features notes of white peach and star anise. The Bastide Blanche white reveals itself to be generous and greedy on the palate, carried by a dense fatness and beautiful bitters and a saline finish. Perfect balance!
A classic Bandol rosé with a varied aromatic bouquet of citron, Sichuan pepper, dried apricot and a hint of peony. Perfectly balanced, full-bodied with a delicate, mineral finish.
