(Notes from the 2017 vintage)

This lovely white table wine is made from a selection of Rolle grapes grown on the "La Bergerie" plot, harvested twice to ensure perfect ripeness. Its subtle nose reveals notes of pear, acacia flowers, and delicate toasted aromas. Generous and round, this white wine is well balanced by salty notes, and the skillful use of wood respects the fruitiness while adding a few spicy and toasted notes. This is a perfect representative of the La Londe terroir!

Bettane & Desseauve

Wine rating (2019 guide) 15.5/20 (2017 vintage) (Very good wine)

Rated estate (2021 guide) 2 stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more consistent and uniform than the previous one)

About the estate:

Located just 900 meters from the sea, this family estate covering nearly 80 hectares sold all its production in bulk until Yannick Burles arrived in 2012 as technical director. Most of the production is bottled at the estate, beautiful vintages are produced, and year after year the wines improve admirably. The vineyard has been carefully restructured, which bodes well for the future of this rising star of the La Londe appellation, which is now contributing to the dynamic development of wines from this commune with undeniable potential. The team in place is making the wines shine.

Rated wine (2020 guide) 1*Star (2017 vintage) (Very successful wine)

Rated estate (2020 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer's wines are regularly recognized by the guide)

About the estate:

This wine estate, whose existence has been documented since the 10th century, became the property of the Carthusian monks of La Verne in 1588. In 1855, Horace Vernet, official painter to Napoleon III, acquired it and built a château on the site. In 1920, it was bought by the Faré family, who still own the property today. They relaunched bottling at the estate in 2010 and in 2018 entrusted the management of its 65 hectares of vines to Julie Barneau and Christophe Deffilippi.

Very nice aromas, the wood does not dominate, truly excellent for its price.

Excellent! Such finesse, such a silky wine with complex fruitiness! It's like a high-quality Burgundy! A touch woody, I think it will be perfect in a year!

Slightly woody on opening. Aeration does it good and brings out pleasant fruity aromas; the texture is beautiful. This wine is very enjoyable.
