(Notes vintage 2017)

This lovely table white is made from a selection of Rolle grapes from the "La Bergerie" plot, harvested twice in search of perfect ripeness. Its subtle nose expresses hints of pear, acacia flowers and delicate toasted notes. Generous and round, this white is well-balanced with saline notes, and the well-controlled use of wood respects the fruit, adding spicy, toasty notes. A perfect representative of the La Londe terroir!

Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

Rated (2019 guide) 15.5/20 (Vintage 2017) (Very good wine)

Domaine rated (guide 2021) 2*Stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more regular and homogeneous than the previous one)

About the domain :

Located just 900 meters from the sea, this family estate of almost 80 hectares sold all its production in bulk until Yannick Burles took over as technical director in 2012. Most of the production is bottled on the estate, with some fine cuvées emerging and the wines progressing admirably from year to year. The vineyard has been carefully restructured, which augurs well for the future of this rising star of the La Londe appellation, who is now playing a part in the dynamic development of the wines of this commune with its undeniable potential. The current team makes the wines shine.

Wine rated (2020 guide) 1*Star (Vintage 2017) (Very successful wine)

Domaine noté (guide 2020) Award-winning wines (The wines of this producer are regularly awarded by the guide)

About the domain :

Dating back to the 10th century, this vineyard became the property of the Carthusian Fathers of La Verne in 1588. In 1855, Horace Vernet, Napoleon III's official painter, acquired it and added a château. In 1920, it was bought by the Faré family, who still own the property today, and who relaunched bottling at the estate in 2010, entrusting the management of its 65 ha of vines to Julie Barneau and Christophe Deffilippi in 2018.

Excellent! What finesse, what a silky wine with complex fruitiness! It's like a top Burgundy! A little oaky, but I think it will be perfect in a year's time!

a little woody on opening. Aeration does it good and brings out pleasant fruity aromas, the material is fine. A good time is had with this wine.
