Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine rated (2017 guide) 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production, in line with what one has the right to expect from its appellation(s))
About the domain :
The 35 hectares of vines, all facing south-west, are located on the plain at the foot of the northern slopes of the Alpilles, in a corridor where the mistral wind is particularly active. These currents protect the vines from frost and disease. The estate has just been acquired by Fiducial, and will certainly undergo changes in the coming vintages.

About the domain :
This pioneering estate in organic viticulture ("bio-actif" since 1970) was founded in 1968 by Noël Michelin. Managed by the Parmentier-Jolly family since 2007, it changed ownership in 2012, bought by Laurent Hild, an Alsatian industrialist. He has maintained this orientation on a 40-hectare vineyard. Regularly in the spotlight for its Baux-de-Provence, in all three colors.
