A frank, pleasant red wine with beautiful intensity, dominated by complex aromas of red berries, cherries in brandy, and a subtle floral touch... A very fine bottle!

Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

Rated estate (2017 guide) 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production, in line with what one would expect from its appellation(s))

About the estate:

The 35 hectares of vines, all facing southwest, are located on the plain at the foot of the northern slope of the Alpilles, in a corridor where the mistral wind is particularly active. These currents protect the vines from frost and disease. The estate has just been bought by Fiducial and will certainly undergo changes in the coming vintages.

Hachette Wine Guide

Guide Hachette des vins

Rated estate (2017 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer's wines are regularly recognized by the guide)

About the estate:

This pioneering estate in organic viticulture ("bio-active" since 1970) was founded in 1968 by Noël Michelin. Run by the Parmentier-Jolly family since 2007, it changed hands in 2012 when it was bought by Laurent Hild, an industrialist from Alsace. Hild has maintained this focus on the 40-hectare vineyard. The estate is regularly in the spotlight for its Beaux-de-Provence wines in all three colors.
