Domaine du Tunnel
Stéphane Robert and his wife Sandrine have created the Domaine du Tunnel in 1994. Established in an old underground railway line, buried 40m below ground, this "tunnel cellar" ensures constant humidity and temperature, ideal for the production of Saint-Péray, Saint-Joseph and Cornas cuvées.

The Domaine du Tunnel vineyard covers some ten hectares, mainly old vines on hillsides.

"Guaranteed fun!

A divine pleasure for this full-bodied, textured white wine with intense apple and stone fruit aromas. An assertive character is revealed in this delicate, intense cuvée, enlivened by a light minerality and minty flavors, with good length and a silky finish.

"A great white!"

"The only Roussanne fermented in wooden vats with indigenous yeasts and aged for 10 months in barrel: such is the almost magical formula for this cuvée, already a firm favorite last year. What pleases? A golden apricot complexion, a mature, gourmet nose of yellow fruit, broom and toasted almond, enlivened by mineral notes; and a full, rich, structured palate, held together by vibrant acidity and a refined, barely hinted-at woodiness. A white of the highest order, to be left in the cellar and brought out again to accompany creamy veal sweetbreads". (Le Guide Hachette 2025)

"A great Northern Rhône wine!

"Deep garnet-red with a tawny disk, the color announces a welcome evolution. On the nose, notes of hyacinth mingle with fragrances of red fruit crumble, buttered brioche and cumin of confounding delicacy. The charm continues on the suave, ample and silky palate, served by a deliciously spicy woodiness and fine tannins that carry through to a noble bitter finish. Absolute class for this Cornas, just a breath away from Favorite." (Le Guide Hachette 2024)

"Rare, limited quantity!"

One of the region's finest white wines. Stéphane Robert's Saint Péray Pur Blanc proves that altitude is not a necessity: the century-old Marsanne vines are located in the village of Saint Péray, at the foot of the appellation. Delicate aromas of crushed stone and rainwater on the nose, then floral and fresh on the palate, with lively flavors of pear and melon. A lovely roundness, a long, lively and refreshing finish, with an almost weightless character.

rarity

Only one or two barrels for this cuvée, a symbol of elegance, made from a micro-parcel of vines over 100 years old. Impressive in both flavor and structure, this wine is a real treasure. A rare emotion: the tongue is lined with lovely tannins on which round, fruity flavors rest. This Cornas, with its incredible substance, licorice and peppery persistence, is such a pleasure to drink...

model of success

One of the stars of the vintage! From plots on granite soils, this Saint-Joseph presents an intense blackcurrant and blackberry color. Expressive and dense with notes of spice, red fruit and violet, the wine is rich, concentrated and beautifully polished on the palate, with firm tannins. Top elegance, to keep for a decade.

A beautiful black fabric dresses this Syrah with character. A Cornas with undeniable assets, with an intense, pure nose of violets, fresh blackberry and tonka bean; and a rich, fleshy palate, delivering a savory sap of juicy black berries, supported by chiseled tannins and perfectly-adjusted oak. A cornas that's already expressive, but will become even more so with age.
