"A classic blend of Grenache (70%) and Syrah is at the origin of this outstanding Lirac. The color is dense, deep and black, the nose complex, elegant and intense, with ripe black fruits, spices and tobacco. The palate is exceptionally powerful, concentrated and very long, backed by fine, velvety tannins. To be reserved for a choice dish". (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2017)

About the domain :
The flagship of the Tavel and Lirac appellations, as well as a leading producer of Châteauneuf and Côtes-du-Rhône, this estate, whose origins date back to the late 18th century, has been run by Pascal Lafond since 1990. Its vast organic vineyard, certified as of 2012, now covers 95 ha in four appellations.

Dark red color, very present nose: red fruit, blond tobacco, good body, powerful. Best the next day.

A little disappointed by the advertising, with a perceived acidity that bothers me from the outset. Well, there's still hope that I'll change my mind at the next boutanche.
