Tain Cellar
Founded in 1933 by Louis Gambert de Loche, Cave de Tain is located between Valence and Lyon, at the foot of Hermitage hill. At the heart of the historic northern Côtes du Rhône vineyards, it now has around 300 members and produces and markets all the northern Rhône appellations, making it the leading producer of wines in the northern Rhône Valley.

On the granite and alluvial soils of both banks of the Rhône, the result of complex geological evolution and great variety (granite and moraines), the grape varieties give their best—Syrah for red wines, Marsanne for white wines. In addition to the vineyards owned by its winegrowers, some of whom have been there for four generations, the Cave de Tain itself owns vineyards in the Crozes-Hermitage, Cornas, and Saint-Péray appellations, and above all 22 hectares in the prestigious Hermitage appellation.

Alongside its long-term work mapping terroirs and observing nature, Cave de Tain invests regularly and now has technical equipment worthy of the biggest names in France. This enables it to produce wines of remarkable quality. Cave de Tain innovates with sulfite-free cuvées, Organic cuvées, sweet wines, and more. It is proud to produce a range of wines that allows it to create very fine vintages such as the Selections Parcellaires "Les Hauts du Fief" in Crozes-Hermitage and "Fleur de Roc" in Saint-Péray.
