Château Pesquié
A family estate for three generations, the Pesquié Castle was founded in the 1970s by Odette and René Bastide, descendants of the famous writer Alphonse Daudet. Their daughter Edith and her husband Paul Chaudière took over in the 1980s, keen to produce their own wines. They left the cooperative and selected different terroirs: clay-limestone, clay, sand, and blue marl. Today, their children Frédéric and Alexandre Chaudière are at the helm of this 100-hectare vineyard.
Since 2018, the entire Château Pesquié vineyard has been farmed organically. Located at the foot of Mont Ventoux, the estate benefits from a microclimate, with vines planted at an altitude of between 250 and 300 meters, giving the wines their freshness. The style of the wines focuses on a selection of plots, particularly for the finest red cuvées, Artémia, Silica, and Ascencio. Château Pesquié continues to rise in stature and is now positioned as a true revelation of the potential of the Ventoux appellation. A place to discover.
