"This vintage has fabulous cherry fruit, with some blueberry and garrigue mixed in. It's full-bodied, rich, velvety and balanced. It's neither too powerful nor too tannic; it's simply delicious." (Wine Advocate 2024)

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine rated (guide 2022) 2*Stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more regular and homogeneous than the previous one)
About the domain :
This three-generation family-run business produces a wide range of well-structured wines on some 70 hectares of land, in a modern, ambitious style that makes it one of Ventoux's "must-haves". Today managed by Frédéric and Alexandre Chaudière, the vineyard features nine grape varieties grown on gravelly clay-limestone slopes at an altitude of 300 meters. The wines are vinified with tact.
Guide Hachette des vins
Domaine noté (guide 2023) Award-winning wines (The wines of this producer are regularly awarded by the guide)
About the domain :
Acquired in 1970 by Odette and René Bastide, this vast 100-hectare estate, with its consistent quality, has been run since 2003 by the third generation (Frédéric and Alexandre Chaudière). The entire vineyard is certified organic and in the process of being converted to biodynamic viticulture.

RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Domaine noté (guide 2023) Sélectionné (We remind you that this guide is a prize list and as such, all the estates that appear in it, even without a star, represent, in our eyes, the excellence of French production).
About the domain :
he story of this estate began in the 1970s, when the Chaudière grandparents restored the château and part of the vineyard. Paul and Edith then provided the impetus by leaving the cooperative and favoring terroir selection. Since 2000, their children Frédéric and Alexandre have overseen the destiny of this vast vineyard. We have been seduced by the stylistic shift in the wines: they have really gained in finesse and sapidity, and represent the freshness of the terroir with dignity.
James Suckling
Wine rated (guide 2024) 93/100
About the wine:
A well-crafted, concentrated and lively Ventoux red, with notes of black cherry, redcurrant, wild herbs and baking spices. Medium-bodied, with fine-grained tannins. Texture and concentration with a transparent character. Lively and well composed. Made from organically grown grapes. Vegan. Enjoy or keep.
Jeb Dunnuck
Wine rated (guide 2023) 91+/100
About the wine:
The classic Ventoux Terrasses 2022 is a normal blend of 60% Grenache and 40% Syrah aged in concrete and stainless steel tanks. Its deep ruby color reveals a ripe, spicy, peppery, medium-bodied red bursting with Provencal charm, ripe tannins, nicely integrated acidity and exceptional length. Over time, it develops spring flowers and violets, and is another very good wine from this team that far exceeds its promise.

Ruby kleur. Score: 15,5/20

Sober ageing and the warm 2022 vintage reinforce the easy-drinking, generous character of this cuvée, which boasts an abundance of red and black fruit infused with tender spices, hints of garrigue and smoke, framed by slightly tight, fine tannins. Supple and fleshy on the palate, with an unctuous texture that glides over a fluid, fresh framework to a long, slender finish. Top price-pleasure ratio. A young, convivial and highly effective wine, to be enjoyed immediately with friends, with red meat grilled over a barbecue, or with a lovely dish of beef cannelloni au gratin with Parmessan cheese. Score = 4.
