Located in Rivesaltes, the Château Rombeau has belonged to the La Fabrègue family since 1810 and has managed to preserve values faithful to tradition while modernizing to meet quality requirements.

When Pierre-Henri de La Fabrègue arrived in 1993, the projects diversified around wine tourism and Rombau estate takes a new turn. The opening of an inn and restaurant, housed in former 18th-century wine cellars, which has become a must-visit destination in the region, sets the ball rolling. In 2001, the Hôtel des Vignes is born.

The vineyard covers 130 hectares of vines and spans four municipalities: Rivesaltes, Pia, Peyrestortes, and Perpignan. Stretching along the Agly Valley, the vines enjoy optimal conditions for exceptional grape ripening and quality. The soil is mainly composed of clay-limestone terraces with rounded pebbles, and the daily wind helps to keep the vines healthy and free from disease. No fewer than 23 different grape varieties are grown by Domaine de Rombeau in the Côtes du Roussillon appellation area, as well as Rivesaltes, Muscats de Rivesaltes, and IGP Catalanes. Some old Syrah and Grenache vines are used to produce complex red wines with great aging potential.

Since 2008, a conversion to organic farming has been underway. Today, 27 hectares of the Rombeau estate vineyard in the commune of Rivesaltes are certified organic.
