Hachette
"Amber with light green highlights, the color announces the onset of rancio. The same is true of the open, complex nose, playing with spices, tuns patina, dried figs, fruit in brandy and walnuts. On the palate, it's full and delicate, coated and fresh, silky. Aromas of dried fruit (apricot), smoke and coffee develop, before giving way on the finish to licorice and a persistent nutty note, typical of rancio". (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2021)

About the domain :
Dom. de Rombeau has been in the family since 1810. A media-savvy winemaker, restaurateur and hotelier, Pierre-Henri de La Fabrègue, who took over the reins in 1993, has given the estate a new lease of life. The 90-hectare estate, 27 hectares of which are organic, produces muscat-de-rivesaltes, rivesaltes and dry wines, both AOC and IGP. A wide-ranging production well known to Guide readers.

A full-bodied wine to be enjoyed for its own sake. The alcohol is present but balanced by beautiful citrus notes (blood orange). Excellent freshness, giving it a charming air of youth.

Nice label, but a good wine without more. I've had better wines from this appellation.
