Sarda-Malet Estate
The Sarda Malet estate, located south of Perpignan in Roussillon on the right bank of the Têt River, extends its vineyards over gently sloping hilltops, most of which face south/southwest, benefiting from an exceptional geographical location and climate. Domaine Sarda Malet has some major assets: clay-limestone soils, Syrah and Mourvèdre vines planted on red Tertiary güntz, and vines that are over thirty years old.

For the whites, Roussanne, Marsanne, Malvoisie, and Viognier are planted in addition to Grenache blanc and 50-year-old Macabeo. At Domaine Sarda Malet, the terroir and its customs are respected: sustainable farming methods, plowing, sulfur and bouillie treatments, removal of surface roots without weeding, and green harvesting even after short pruning. The harvest date is based on balance (degree, acidity, and tasting of the berries). Yields do not exceed 40 hectoliters per hectare for Domaine Sarda Malet wines, falling to 20 hectoliters for Syrah and Mourvèdre from the Mailloles terroir and 15 hectoliters for white wines made from Roussanne and Marsanne. Bottling is carried out without fining or filtration, resulting in high-quality Côtes du Roussillon appellation wines and Rivesaltes wines with an impeccable reputation.
