"The 2018 Pinot Noir exhibits a Burgundian profile at the foot of the Pyrenees: roundness, finesse and complexity, low PH and 40% whole harvest." (Le Guide RVF 2024). The latest from Château Montus, Le Pinot Noir 2018 has a rich, aromatic nose, with notes of red fruit, mingled with the subtle aromas of barrel ageing. Full-bodied and well-balanced on the palate, with a fine, elegant structure and silky tannins. A wine in the image of its terroir!

About the wine:
The 2018 Pinot Noir exhibits a Burgundian profile at the foot of the Pyrenees: roundness, finesse and complexity, low PH and 40% whole harvest.
About the domain :
Alain Brumont develops his personality through a style that takes wines from Madiran around the world under the label of Château Montus, which he bought in 1980. Brumont's cuvées often go against conventional wisdom, demonstrating his freedom in interpreting the terroirs' yellow and red clay subsoils, with gradients ranging from 20 to 40%. Tannat expresses itself in the château's three cuvées, Prestige, XL, Montus and La Tyre, and certainly delivers the most spectacular profile of this not-easy-to-handle Pyrenean grape.
