About the wine:

The merlot/cabernet franc blend expresses Julien Auroux's limestone terroir, with mint and red fruit, blackcurrant, a perfect cuvée with ideal dimensions and sumptuous tannins, great scope and great spirits on deep tannins.

About the domain :

Bergerac, in the extreme south-east of the appellation: from his plots on the limestone plateau and deep-clay hillsides, worked organically, Julien Auroux looks to the future with serenity. His wines have turned their backs on the Bergerac past, which sought to ape the reds of Bordeaux by forgetting the soil. He, on the contrary, is committed to salinity, frank and precise aromatic expression, with indigenous yeast and almost no added sulfur. He rehabilitates grapes from the past for a return to the future. The range draws from the acidity of the soils a digestible presence and climbs a step this year.
