The signature of perfect maturity on a unique terroir, Cuvée Moulin des Dames comes from a parcel bordered by truffle oaks. Like its ageing, this is a wine that knows how to wait, rich and powerful, with aromas of violets, coffee and roasting, enlivened by notes of citrus zest and delicate woodiness... A very complete wine!

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Wine rated (2011 guide) 15/20 (Very good wine)
3*Star rating (High-quality production, a benchmark in its sector)
About the wine:
Black fruit and spice on the nose, roundness and well-defined tannins on the palate.
About the domain :
This property is the fiefdom of the de Conti family. Luc de Conti bought the estate in 1981. His cousin Francis and son Guillaume joined him, while daughter Margaux chose another estate (Barouillet) and son Gilles the beer route. 50 hectares are farmed organically, and a small part (12 hectares) biodynamically.
Guide Hachette des vins
Domaine noté (guide 2023) Award-winning wines (The wines of this producer are regularly awarded by the guide)
About the domain :
Una storia italiana. In 1986, the de Conti brothers joined their lands, associated their families and founded the de Conti company. Jean, Luc, their wives and a cousin, Francis, who contributes his 20 ha, follow in the footsteps of Vincenzo, who arrived here in 1925. Joined by the last generation, they manage 60 ha of vines (organic since 2005), supplemented since 2000 by a trading structure that sells wines from neighboring winegrowers who have also converted to organic methods. In 2022, Gilles and Margaux took over.
Guide des Vins Gault & Millau
Rated 16.5/20 (Very good)
About the wine:
A fruity, complex wine with a nose of blackcurrant, cinnamon, spices and pepper. Dense on the palate, the tannins are still a little peppery, and there's a hint of bitterness.
RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Wine rated (2011 guide) 16.5/20 (Very good wine)
Domaine rated (guide 2023) 2*Stars (These great estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, must be included in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).
About the wine:
Even more velvety and harmonious, Moulin des Dames 2008 seduces with its extra finesse and civilized persistence.
About the domain :
The 52-hectare estate has been freshly split between the two branches of the family. Luc de Conti, who has been delighting us with his Bergerac wines for twenty-five years, has separated from his cousin and, with his children, Margaux and Gilles, is building a new future for the estate. The vineyard, entirely organic, produces powerful whites and classic Bergerac reds. From now on, beer, whisky and truffles will also be on the agenda of the label de Conti.

Too much extraction, not ripe tannins and therefore a slightly aggressive wine.
