Domaine de Souch

Domaine de Souch
Domaine de Souch is located 6km from Pau, at the end of one of the winding lanes that are the secret of Jurançon vineyards.

The Domaine de Souch vineyard is run according to the precepts of organic farming. The work is respectful of the environment and the vines, and is now ECOCERT-certified. Yvonne Hegoburu is in charge of Domaine de Souch's destiny, and the respect of this charter is her philosophy: biodynamic viticulture, working the soil, manual harvesting by successive sorting, small yields... All these elements give Domaine de Souch wines a strong identity, AOC Jurançon wines that are fresh and perfectly balanced, to the delight of the most demanding connoisseurs.

Domaine de Souch - Jurançon Cuvée de Marie Kattalin 2006

Note : RVF 15/20
Cuvée de Marie de Kattelin is a Jurançon with a complex, highly aromatic bouquet of great purity, combining hints of exotic fruit, mango, roasted pineapple and papaya... "Cuvée Marie Kattalin 2006 is harmonious on the palate, with a delightful confit...". (Le Classement des Meilleurs Vins de France 2011 - RVF)

Domaine de Souch - Jurançon Moelleux 2006

Note : RVF 14/20
3 hectares of superbly-situated vines, 2 of them terraced, produce Petit Manseg and Gros Manseng, which share equal parts in the blend of this mellow wine. The pedigree of the terroir makes for a pleasurable wine that goes equally well with foie gras, poultry and creamy white meats. With good ageing potential, it can also be enjoyed young.

Domaine de Souch - Jurançon Sec 2009

Notes : Bettane & Desseauve 16/20, RVF 14,5/20
The domaine's dry wine reflects a fine expression of the Jurançon terroir and its local grape varieties: gros and petit Manseng with a little Courbu. Fresh and pleasant on the nose, it is full-bodied and dense on the palate, and above all well-balanced with good acidity and a lemony finish. Enjoy as an aperitif or with shellfish.
