2*Coup de Coeur

Hachette

"A sure bet for this cuvée, which is no stranger to the wine world. The color is ruby with beautiful orange reflections. The nose combines finesse and elegance with ripe fruit and the spicy, roasted and toasty notes of ageing. The palate is particularly aromatic and greedy. The silky, fine tannins and restrained freshness give this well-balanced wine great persistence and dynamism". ( Guide Hachette des Vins 2019)

About the wine:

A sure bet for this cuvée, which is no stranger to the wine world. A ruby-red color with orange highlights. The nose combines finesse and elegance with ripe fruit and the spicy, roasted and toasty notes of ageing. The palate is particularly aromatic and greedy. The silky, fine tannins and restrained freshness give this well-balanced wine good persistence and dynamism.

About the domain :

Puy-Servain is the name of the locality and means "summit" (puy), "windy" (servain). Daniel hecquet was oenologist at the famous Ch. d'yquem before returning to the family estate in Ponchapt, which today boasts 47 ha of vines. A pillar of the Bergerac region for its montravel and haut-montravel.

A soft, insipid side, reminiscent of a technological wine. It may have been flattering at one time, but it just doesn't hold up!"
