Château Lacaussade Saint-Martin
The vineyards of Château Lacaussade Saint-Martin stretch along the famous limestone vein that runs north from Blaye, along the Gironde estuary. With just a few dozen centimetres of grey clay on the surface, mixed with limestone pebbles and superb sea urchin fossils, it is a poor terroir, ideal for Merlot and Cabernet vines.
Determination and the awareness of a prodigious terroir have driven Jacques Chardat to take the Château Lacaussade Saint-Martin vineyard by the horns, to make Premières Côtes de Blaye appellation wines full of seduction and grandeur.

This Les Trois Moulins white cuvée certainly owes much of its personality, fruitiness and exceptional freshness to the very special moment chosen to harvest the grapes at peak ripeness: in the afternoon, after the morning dews... A wine of great complexity, with melted oak and aromas of exotic fruit and candied fruit. Another great success!
