" The 2015 will be one of the estate's greatest successes. Its distinguished wine, the precision of its ageing and the quality of its tannins will allow it to age for at least twenty years." (Le Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France 2018 - RVF). Don't focus on its appellation, this Bordeaux Supérieur rivals the greatest Bordeaux Classified Growths in blind tastings.

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Wine rated (2018 guide) 16/20 (Very good wine)
Domaine rated (guide 2023) 3*Stars (High-quality production that can serve as a benchmark in its sector)
About the wine:
Harmonious nose, expressing ripe fruit, subtle smoky oak, hints of eucalyptus and freesia, warm and deep on the palate, with fruit, solid tannins that should mellow and freshness.
About the domain :
Yves and Stéphanie Vatelot belong to a generation of entrepreneurs who became winegrowers some twenty years ago. They have greatly enhanced the potential of this estate, both in the vineyard and in the cellars. Advised by Michel Rolland, they produce red and white wines of exemplary quality and consistency, ranking them among the appellation's leaders.
Robert Parker - Wine Advocate
Rated (2018 guide) 89/100 (Very good wine)
Domaine noté Recommended (Wine producer recommended by Robert Parker - The Wine Advocate)
About the wine:
The 2015 Reignac is a deep garnet-purple color with a pronounced nose of black plums, cassis and black forest, with suggestions of pencil shavings and licorice. Medium- to full-bodied, firm and muscular with a chewy, textured backbone, it finishes long on earthy notes.
About the domain :
RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Rated (2018 guide) 17.5/20 (Grand vin)
Domaine noté (guide 2023) Sélectionné (We remind you that this guide is a prize list and as such, all the estates that appear in it, even without a star, represent, in our eyes, the excellence of French production).
About the wine:
The 2015 will be one of the estate's greatest successes. Its distinguished wine, the precision of its ageing and the quality of its tannins will allow it to age for at least twenty years.
About the domain :
Yves and Stéphanie Vatelot celebrated 30 years at the helm of Reignac this year. From the outset, the couple have invested heavily in positioning their superior Bordeaux wines at the highest level, following the advice of Michel Roland. With the arrival of director Nicolas Lesaint in 2009, the growing methods have evolved towards organic methods. This work is beginning to show in the wines, despite the still intrusive ageing process. Extractions are more precise, thanks to the six small truncated-cone vats used to match the plot of land.

Wine rated (2019 guide) 16.5/20
About the wine:
This wine and Yves Vatelot have hit the headlines several times in the past, whether as a young vintage or as a decade-old wine. Black in color, the nose is powerful and complex. The wine is dense, charming and full-bodied, requiring several years to mellow. Unquestionably a great wine.
