Robert Parker

"Magnificent richness on the nose, mellow and suave, offering fruit at the peak of ripeness but retaining plenty of freshness, refined oak, tobacco notes, equally aromatic, powerful palate, with a deep tannic structure, lovely freshness and follow-through." Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

Vin noté (guide 2014) 16/20 (Très bon vin)

Rated domain (2023 guide) 3*Stars (High-quality production that sets the standard in its sector)

About the wine :

Magnificent richness on the nose, mellow and suave, with fruit at the peak of ripeness but retaining plenty of freshness, refined oak and tobacco notes. Equally aromatic and powerful on the palate, with a deep tannic structure, lovely freshness and continuity.

About the domain :

Yves and Stéphanie Vatelot belong to a generation of entrepreneurs who became winegrowers some twenty years ago. They have greatly enhanced the potential of this estate, both in the vineyard and in the cellars. Advised by Michel Rolland, they produce red and white wines of exemplary quality and consistency, ranking them among the appellation's leaders.

Rated domain (2023 guide) Selected (We remind you that this guide is a prize list, and as such, all the estates that appear in it, even without a star, represent, in our eyes, the excellence of French production).

About the domain :

Yves and Stéphanie Vatelot celebrated 30 years at the helm of Reignac this year. From the outset, the couple have invested heavily in positioning their superior Bordeaux wines at the highest level, following the advice of Michel Roland. With the arrival of manager Nicolas Lesaint in 2009, the growing methods have evolved towards organic methods. This work is beginning to show in the wines, despite the still intrusive ageing process. Extractions are more precise, thanks to the six small truncated-cone vats used to match the plot of land.
