Wine rated (2015 guide) 92/100
Rated estate (2023 guide) 3 stars (High-quality production, serving as a benchmark in its sector)
About wine:
Some samples are dominated by wood, but others reveal a deep, full-bodied wine with a real richness of sap.
About the estate:
This vintage was long famous first for its white wine, one of the most complete in Léognan, and then also for its red, at its best one of the most brilliant illustrations of the character of Pessac-Léognan. The last decade has marked a return to the highest level for Fieuzal white. The new, ultra-efficient cellars, with numerous small vats of various sizes, made of concrete, stainless steel, or wood, now allow Stephen Carrier, the director, to produce haute couture wines.

About wine:
The black cherry aromas are still subtle, with moderate power and tannic structure. The house style is evident: firm and full-bodied, less pronounced than other Pessac estates, but with obvious dark, velvety fruit. It has excellent aging potential. 2023-2035

Rated estate (2023 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing good-quality wines; you won't be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)
About the estate:
This classified growth located in the southernmost part of Léognan produced some of Bordeaux's greatest white wines in the 1980s. After being sold to Banque Populaire in 1994, Fieuzal declined until 2001. That year, Irish businessman Lochlann Quinn purchased the estate and hired Stephen Carrier from Champagne as its director. Since then, the estate has returned to excellent form, with a clear focus on body, structure and tannic elegance in the reds, and freshness with the arrival of consultant Thomas Duclos. With some failures (2013) and great successes (2008), the whites are gradually regaining their full-bodied, intense character and aging potential.

About wine:
The complex, savory, herbaceous, and earthy nose leads to a medium-bodied wine with real concentration and a lovely freshness on the finish, where the tannins are present but well integrated.

Remarkable. A vintage ready to drink, aerate for at least 2 hours, magnificent! Silky, well-integrated tannins, very classy.
