"The great charmer

A true Favorite that lives up to its name. On a shallow terroir of brown then chalky soil, this heart-shaped vineyard produces a cuvée that immediately charms us with its harmonious nose of intense fruit and woody notes. Supple, silky and fresh on the palate, it then reveals a charming yet silky structure with firm but not harsh tannins. Magnificent balance for a wine for laying down that's sure to give you plenty of pleasure.

"This 5.24-hectare climat, adjacent to the 1erscrus Epenotes and Boucherottes on the Pommard side, takes its name from the beech trees that once grew here. Rodolphe Demougeot farms a half-hectare planted 55 years ago. The result is a stunning beaune village, with an attractive garnet-red color and a cherry nose, lightly vanillinized by 12 months in barrel. The palate is ample, deep, with firm but fine tannins, refreshed by a hint of acidity, before stretching into a long, liquorice finish. Character and solid potential.
