"Vega Sicilia produces a highly complex wine for its Valbuena: a triumph according to Wine Advocate!"

"Extremely fragrant with violets and a bouquet of flowers. Then blue fruits such as blueberries and raspberries. Medium-bodied, with beautifully developed tannins that give a superb mouthfeel and finesse. Refinement, depth, and concentration. It is wonderful to drink now, but will be even better in four or five years. (James Suckling 2023) - Delivery in wooden cases is available for orders of 3 bottles of this wine (depending on the country and shipping method selected).

About wine:

The obsession in 2019 was to avoid over-ripeness and maintain freshness, so they used a gentler vinification process, larger vats for aging, and less American oak. The 2019 Valbuena was made from a blend of Tinto Fino and 3% Merlot. It has 14.5% alcohol, a pH of 3.88, and 4.6 grams of acidity. I love the nose; it's fragrant and subtle. And the wine has a beautiful texture; the tannins are very fine, silky even, very different from the tannins of the other 2019s from the group that I tasted alongside it, Macán and Pintia. A triumph over the conditions of the year, this is a more elegant Valbuena than I had anticipated. 2024-2032
