Dolcetto d'Alba
Dolcetto d'Alba DOC is an Italian denomination from the Piedmont region, recognized since July 16, 1974. Only red wines harvested within the production area defined by decree are entitled to the Dolcetto d'Alba DOC. The authorized vineyards are located in the province of Cuneo and the province of Asti, covering an area of around 2,000 hectares. The Dolcetto d'Alba appellation is considered one of the best in Italy, thanks to the presence of top-quality producers in the area. The Dolcetto d'Alba vineyards are located on the slopes of the many hills south of Alba, close to the Tanaro and the Dolcetto di Dogliani vineyards.

Dolcetto d'Alba red wine is made to less exacting specifications than Dolcetto d'Alba superiore, mainly in relation to alcoholic strength. The vineyard specializes in making wines from the Dolcetto grape variety. The best Dolcetto d'Alba wines are soft, with just the right amount of tannin to balance them out. Producers like Renatto Ratti and Elio Altare make the appellation shine.

89/100 Robert Parker

Dolcetto, originally from Piedmont, is a "soft" grape variety in terms of tannins. Grown on the Manzone estate's privileged terroir, it produces a red wine of fruit and finesse. With its complex, fresh palate and notes of red fruit and undergrowth, it is a reflection of its terroir, a wine full of personality and spontaneity. An exceptional Dolcetto!

This Dolcetto d'Alba displays the typical characteristics of the region. The balance of acidity, tannins and alcohol is harmonious. The fruit dominates the nose and palate, making this wine delicately greedy. A Piedmontese red that can be enjoyed young!

Cuvée Colombè features the Italian Dolcetto grape variety, typical of Piedmont. A variety that flourishes on sun-drenched limestone terroir, it produces a fruity, intense wine with aromas of cherry and wild plum. A well-balanced, fresh cuvée with a very pleasant finish. A wine for pleasure par excellence!
