About the estate:
With a long family history, the Bruneau-Dupuy estate has now been taken over by Sylvain. Since 2012, the vineyard has been undergoing organic conversion. The estate covers an area of 20 hectares, protected to the north by the forest. Half of the estate is located on south-facing slopes, covered with old vines planted in clay-limestone soils. The wines produced from these vines are full-bodied and long on the palate. The other half of the vineyard is planted in sandy soil, which produces lighter, fruitier wines that are best enjoyed young. At less than €15, the wines offer good value for money.

This spring cuvée, unfiltered and unadorned, displays its lightness and mineral freshness right from the start, underscored by smooth, supple tannins that mingle with the fluidity of sparkling red berries from the orchard. A decent length with a slightly spicy finish. A cheerful wine to pair simply with rillons and rillettes from Tours, or with a jardinière of new vegetables with small pieces of bacon. Rating = 3.8.

A pleasant surprise—a wine with a lot of substance for such a price and much more aroma than I expected.
