Salon des vins de Loire Angers
"A fine example of the appellation, a sure bet for this vintage wine."
This vintage develops complex aromas of ripe red fruits, even jammy. The balance is perfect and the acidity pleasantly pronounced. The tannins are mellow, providing fullness and great length on the palate.

Bettane & Desseauve
Winery rated 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production, consistent with what one would expect from its appellation(s))
About the estate:
With a long family history, the Bruneau-Dupuy estate has now been taken over by Sylvain. Since 2012, the vineyard has been undergoing organic conversion. The estate covers an area of 20 hectares, protected to the north by the forest. Half of the estate is located on south-facing slopes, covered with old vines planted in clay-limestone soils. The wines produced from these vines are full-bodied and long on the palate. The other half of the vineyard is planted in sandy soil, which produces lighter, fruitier wines that are best enjoyed young. At less than €15, the wines offer good value for money.

James Suckling
Wine rated (2024 guide) 90/100
About wine:
Fruity, juicy, and crisp with notes of black cherries, blueberries, and warm spices. Medium-bodied with fine tannins. Good structure and balance with a lively mid-palate and a concentrated, textured finish. Made from organically grown grapes. Ready to drink or cellar.
Vert de Vin
Wine rated 91/100 (Jonathan Choukroun Chicheportiche)
About wine:
The wine has a medium-intensity ruby color. The nose is reserved at first and requires aeration. It then reveals concentration and depth, expressing notes of juicy blackcurrant, blueberry, morello cherry, wild blackberry, and wild plum, complemented by aromas of red fruit (red cherry jam, wild strawberry, raspberry coulis), as well as subtle notes of sweet spices (clove, nutmeg), a toasted touch in the background, and floral (violet, dried rose) and herbaceous (dried mint) notes. The palate is straightforward and chiseled: it offers a tart side of red fruits (red cherry, raspberry, strawberry, red currant), complemented by notes of black fruits (blackcurrant, morello cherry, wild plum), a subtle spicy side (clove, licorice, nutmeg) and floral (dried rose, violet). The tannic structure is well-integrated and well-constructed. Beautiful lively and refreshing acidity. Good length on the finish, with notes of blackcurrant leaf and dried mint.
