Tardieu Laurent
Today, Michel Tardieu is in sole charge of the business, supported by his son Bastien, daughter Camille and wife Michèle. He has patiently built up long-term relationships of trust with many of the most outstanding winemakers in each appellation. As a result, particular attention is paid to the quality of the grapes, which are produced with total respect for the terroirs and the vines. The barrel aging of each wine is exceptional. Domaine Tardieu-Laurent wines are rightly praised by the trade press for their quality, particularly the vieilles vignes cuvées, which rank among the very best in the Rhône Valley.

Maison Tardieu-Laurent - Condrieu Vieilles Vignes 2023
95/100 Jeb Dunnuck
"Condrieu Vieilles Vignes 2023 is another tour de force from this producer. Stone fruits, roasted nuts, orange liqueur and crushed stones give this wine a slightly more mineral, masculine style. The medium- to full-bodied palate is concentrated, pure and structured, with great freshness and remarkable length, and a touch of salinity on the finish. It is destined for the table and should drink well through 2033." (Jeb Dunnuck 2024)

"Expressive nose of dark fruits, roasted meat, smoke and dried leaves, with baking spices and hints of fireplace. Full-bodied, with finely grained tannins. Suave texture and character. An elegant Hermitage with controlled power at every stage. Precise and concentrated, it nonetheless has a bright fruity center, with succulent cherries and wild currants bringing freshness and vigor. A superb wine." (James Suckling 2024)

Les Becs Fins blanc offers a very fruity, exotic style, with a lovely freshness. The nose is inviting and charming, the palate flattering, bright and harmonious. The whole is perfectly balanced. It has the structure of Grenache Blanc and the softness of Viognier. A beautiful blend that will accompany you as an aperitif and throughout your meal.

"Big, ripe, opulent and sexy, Hermitage Blanc 2021 has orchard fruit and honeyed quince, medium to full body, nuances of acacia flowers and spice, a structured, decadent palate, and that rare blend of freshness and richness that's so hard to come by." (Jeb Dunnuck 2023)
Maison Tardieu-Laurent - Rasteau Vieilles Vignes 2021
4/5 (3 reviews)
16,5/20 Jancis Robinson
Rasteau Vieilles Vignes 2021, aged ten months in barrel and ten months in cask, has a brilliant purple color. Playful and delicate on the nose, it oscillates between floral and fruity, with scents of raspberry and black fruit. Surprisingly fresh acidity gives this Rasteau an interesting freshness. The palate is creamy with lightly polished tannins. Well-controlled power and complexity.

"Another killer wine, the Saint-Joseph Vieilles Vignes 2019 reveals a dense purple color and exudes lots of red and blue fruits, bacon fat, charcuterie and spring flowers. This is a Saint-Joseph on minerality, rather rich and full-bodied, with good acidity and tannins. It will shine for 15 years or more. " (Jeb Dunnuck).
Maison Tardieu-Laurent - Châteauneuf-du-Pape Vieilles Vignes 2020
4/5 (2 reviews)
16+/20 Jancis Robinson
Made from terroirs planted with old vines, this Châteauneuf blanc can be drunk young, with aromas of white flowers and white fruits, lightly wooded. It's a digestible, typical wine, with notes of fennel and garrigue, which can also be laid down, developing aromas of wax, walnut and dried fruit on fine bitters. Enjoy with lobster, shellfish, noble fish such as sea bass, sweetbreads, morel chicken or truffle brouillade...

An explosive nose of spices and morello cherry. Full-bodied and slender on the palate. The wine reminds us of an almost glamorous expression of Northern Rhône Syrah. An appetizing, racy wine - Attention, very limited quantities!

"Medium purple. Spicy nose with real energy. Round and soft and distinctly Burgundian. Such a flirt! Excellent balance between fruit and acidity. Bravissimo. A real tour de force. Concentration, weight and lift. Denser than this producer's generic 2018 Châteauneuf. " (Jancis Robinson - 2020)

"Deeply colored, the 2018 Côtes Du Rhône Guy Louis is a blend of 60% Grenache, 25% Syrah and balanced Mourvèdre that has been largely destemmed and aged in second-fill barrels. It offers beautiful purity and precision in its aromas and flavors of black raspberry, spicy wood, garrigue and pepper. Medium- to full-bodied, balanced and seamless on the palate, this is a gorgeous, easy wineto enjoy over the next 4-6 years." (Jeb Dunnuck 2019) Great success!

16/20 Coup de Cœur RVF
"Gigondas Vieilles Vignes 2018 is 80% Grenache, with the remaining 20% divided equally between Mourvèdre and Syrah. Two-thirds of the harvest were not destemmed, and the wine was aged in previously used barrels for 10 months, then in foudre. This is a high-flying achievement, with flamboyant aromas of herbal tea and red raspberries. Medium to full-bodied, the texture is silky, with a long, vibrant finish that ends with a wave of supple tannins." (Wine Advocate 2020) The archetypal good Mediterranean Wine!
