Robert Parker
"A jewel in the Arcane collection, made from century-old Grenache grapes.
"Purple in color, with a sensational young bouquet of crushed flowers, blueberries, blackberries, saltiness and spice, it hits the palate with incredible richness, a thick, unctuous mid-palate and ripe but present tannins. This is a singular, exotic beauty that we hope all our readers will taste! " (Wine Advocate 2016 - Robert Parker)

Excellent but no better (or more subtle) than the papesse 2016, 2x cheaper. In terms of PQ: 3.5.

I give this rating for the Q/P ratio. I'm a fan of Xavier V.'s wines, I have many and I've drunk a lot of them, especially Chateauneuf. The 2010 Pope is disappointing. It's good, but not at this price! It's powerful, it's long but it doesn't thrill! On this budget, the Janasse Vielles Vignes from this vintage, for example, will give you much more pleasure.

FABULOUS AND STILL, LIKE ALL THE 2010S IN THE RHONE, IT SURELY HAS MORE POTENTIAL TO COME.
