"The appellation's flagship wine"
"A delicious Côte-Rôtie 2022 that is already open and expressive. Deep aromas of blackberry, red fruit, and blueberry. The silky tannins are already beautifully integrated. The tannins develop gently in the long, polished finish, where there is a touch of stony minerality. " (James Suckling 2025). A rich and elegant Côte-Rôtie, to be enjoyed with a confit of lamb shoulder...

Rated estate (2023 guide) 4 stars (Producers of very high quality, those who are the pride of French vineyards)
About the estate:
Stéphane Ogier's ambition is reflected in the quality of his wines, but also in his new winery. It is a magnificent facility for vinifying his Côte-Rôtie and Seyssuel terroirs by plot. Barrel vinification is mastered through long aging. A reliable source of excellent Syrahs from the northern Rhône, prized by top sommeliers and wine merchants around the world.

Wine rating (2025 guide) 92/100 (Outstanding wine)
About wine:
Aged for one year in barrels, the Côte Rôtie Mon Village 2022 accounts for around half of Stéphane Ogier's production. It offers aromas of fresh black berries, violets, and spices, with perfectly integrated oak. The palate is medium-bodied to full-bodied, with a taut and dense structure, complemented by fresh and velvety tannins, leading to a refined and ethereal finish with notes of black berries. Currently slightly introverted and firm on the finish, this wine will benefit from being aged in the cellar for 2 to 4 years before being enjoyed.

Wine rated (2026 guide) 94/100
Rated estate (2024 guide) 2 stars (These very large estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).
About the estate:
Since 2014, Stéphane Ogier has been making wine in an ultra-modern winery in Ampuis, giving free rein to his creative talent. Of the 18 hectares cultivated by this estate, 3.5 hectares are located on some very fine Côte-Rôtie plots. Stéphane joined his father Michel in 1997 after studying oenology in Beaune, where he developed a taste for elegance and finesse. The wines are made from partially destemmed grapes (50% whole bunches in the Lancement cuvée). The precision of the latest vintages, the rigorous selection of single vineyard cuvées and the style now displayed by the wines place the estate among the elite, with a third star now in its sights.

About wine:
Attractive and seductive nose with notes of ripe red and black fruits. The palate is delicate, with fine tannins. Delicious and juicy, but with a firm backbone and spices.

About wine:
A blend of different terroirs, the Côte Rôtie Mon Village 2022 has a bright ruby color and a classic Côte Rôtie nose, with aromas of sweet red and black fruits mingled with notes of pressed flowers, charcuterie, and spices. This complex, medium-bodied to full-bodied, elegant wine offers the sun-kissed fruits of the vintage, a beautiful overall balance, and a lovely finish. Enjoy over the next decade between 2025 and 2035.
