Ardèche hillsides
Stemming from the colorful geology of the Ardèche, the Coteaux de l'Ardèche PGI offers connoisseurs a wide range of elegant, authentic wines that assert their terroir. The Coteaux de l'Ardèche Protected Geographical Indication covers the southern half of the department. The specificities of each terroir and the variety of grape varieties contribute to unique varietal and blended wines. Maison M. Chapoutier also shines in this appellation.

Coteaux de l'Ardèche reds are produced here using grape varieties such as Syrah, Grenache, Cabernet-Sauvignon, Merlot, Gamay, Pinot and Chatus, an ancestral variety typical of the Ardèche that produces a highly original, very tannic wine. Rosé wines are made from Syrah, Grenache and Cabernet-Sauvignon. Finally, Coteaux de l'Ardèche whites are made with Chardonnay, Viognier, Sauvignon blanc, Grenache blanc and Marsanne.

"A great Chardonnay, rich and generous".

With its almond notes and assertive character, Grand Ardèche is always a success. Produced from the best plots, rigorously selected each year at harvest time, the wine is vinified directly in oak barrels made by Tonnellerie Latour, where it is aged for around 10 months like the great white wines of Burgundy.

Emblematic of the Cévenne ardéchoise region, Chatus is available here in "haute couture" style. Le Temps qui reste can be found in Michelin-starred establishments such as Bocuse, Pic... Rediscover this forgotten grape variety with its strong character and surprising charisma. Powerful and tannic, this red wine reveals notes of black fruit, prunes, leather, quince paste and cigar. Deep, it can be appreciated after no less than half a day of aeration. Intriguing, original and full-bodied are the key words for this Ardèche red.

(Notes vintage 2017)

A Cevennes grape variety that fell into oblivion after the phylloxera crisis, Chatus has enjoyed an incredible renaissance in recent years. Usually a robust, full-bodied vin de garde that doesn't need to be kept for more than 3 years, Chatus or Syramuse is now available as a full-bodied, fruity wine, accessible as a vin de copain to appreciate all the facets of the grape variety and terroir. Let yourself be tempted by this original, exclusive varietal wine and its gourmet mouthfeel!

"The 2017 IGP Coteaux de l'Ardèche from Domaine des Granges de Mirabel Blanc is a 100% Viognier worked biodynamically from basalt and clay soil. No floral dominance, but it's beautifully lively and fresh, marrying tangerine and apricot notes with a silky, medium-bodied structure and finishing on a hint of orange zest. Drink it over the next few years." (Wine Advocate 2018 - Robert Parker) An organic and good wine to discover and share without delay...

In its deep, intense black color, this Syrah expresses complex aromas typical of the grape variety: violet, jasmine, blackberry, green pepper and licorice, as well as a touch of leather and smoke. Supple and round on the palate, with fine tannins. The finish is perfumed and long. Excellent value for money!
