Land of Lovers
In 2011, Jean-Pierre Bedel acquired the Château les Amoureuseson the right bank of the Rhône, in Ardèche.

With the help of Swiss oenologist Jean-Michel Novelle, he rethought the whole of Château les Amoureuses, from the 58 hectares of planted vines to the structure of the winery. The first vintage was produced by a team of young oenologists, one from South Africa, the other from Chile.
With a genuine desire to express the best of the Rhône Valley's Ardèche terroir, the majority of Château les Amoureuses wines are produced under the Terres des Amoureuses brand, a Mediterranean PGI.

A wind of modernity blows through the Rhône Valley!

Rosé de saignée, Rose Vintage has a rich, supple structure and remarkable length, with aromas of raspberry, cherry and apricot, as well as hints of vanilla. To develop this cuvée, Terres des Amoureuses collaborated with Paolo Basso, World's Best Sommelier 2013 and Europe's Best Sommelier 2010. The aim of this meeting: to produce an exceptional rosé with a gastronomic focus.

"We love this exuberant tonality of ripe black fruit and wild spices that volcanoes the taste buds. The supple tannins provide exemplary sapidity. With Mediterranean cuisine, of course" (Les Meilleurs Vins de France 2015 - Gault Millau)

Les Amoureuses - Syrah 2013

3.5/5 (15 reviews)

In its deep, intense black color, this Syrah expresses complex aromas typical of the grape variety: violet, jasmine, blackberry, green pepper and licorice, as well as a touch of leather and smoke. Supple and round on the palate, with fine tannins. The finish is perfumed and long. Excellent value for money!

Terres des Amoureuses - Absolu Black 2011

With a nose of Christmas Pudding, ripe black fruits and spices, Absolu Black is a delicious, round wine with a beautiful intensity. Dense and round, this atypical blend of Rhodanian grapes and Merlot retains its trademark acidity.

Terres des Amoureuses - Black Sublim 2011

14/20 Gault & Millau

"A deeper stratum of spice and a licorice-like length enliven this cuvée, racy, proud, uncompromising in its gustatory progression. Drink it as is before the animal in it escapes!" (Les Meilleurs Vins de France 2015 - Gault Millau) Silky, round and gourmand. A very fine cuvée!

Terres des Amoureuses - Magic White 2012

14,5/20 Gault & Millau

The new oak of this 100% Viognier is very well blended. It spices up the white fruit aromas typical of this grape variety. The grapes come from the estate's most northerly plots, giving this white wine a freshness that balances the ripe fruit.

Terres des Amoureuses - Pur White 2012

Harvested from plots at an altitude of 300m, Roussanne reveals itself between maturity and freshness, in an intense golden yellow color. Toasty notes emerge on the nose. And if the attack on the palate is straightforward and announces structure, it's the fullness and generosity of this cuvée that we remember.

Terres des Amoureuses - All White 2012

14/20 Gault & Millau

"We appreciate the fruit aromas that manage to break through the dominant shell of ageing, revealing a menthol-tinged framework lengthening the tasting. Technically well done" (Les Meilleurs Vins de France 2015 - Gault Millau)
