"An exemplary Cahors

"Intense dark purple color. The nose is pure and young, with aromas of violet, blackberry, blackcurrant and licorice, all supported by a light oakiness. The palate is dense and concentrated, still young but with well-polished tannins, fine oak integration and a lively freshness balancing density, dark berry flavors with sweet spice and licorice leading to a long, powerful finish." "The wine recreates the medieval technique used to heat the fermenting must to make it more stable. In this case, it also produces a wine with an almost black color, dark in appearance and fragrance. There's elegance here, with fine tannins well integrated with juicy black fruit and a ripe style. This is a wine built for cellaring, even if it's juicy enough to drink now."
