Domaine Léon Boesch
Domaine Léon Boesch is the jewel in the Boesch family crown. Established since 1640 in Alsace's Vallée Noble, the 11 generations of Boesch winemakers, from father to son, have patiently blended their remarkable terroirs. Gérard Boesch and his son Matthieu are now in charge of Domaine Léon Boesch, which boasts 13 hectares of vines that have been farmed organically since 2000 to produce top-quality Alsace, Alsace Grand Cru and Crémant d'Alsace wines.

Nestled in the Vallée Noble in the heart of the Ballons des Vosges nature park, the Domaine Léon Boesch vineyard is carefully tended to ensure that it delivers the very best: ploughing, natural treatments based on herbal teas and preparations, and the vines are fertilized with compost produced on the estate. Harvesting, the highlight of the year, is carried out exclusively by hand, and fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts in oak tuns. Domaine Léon Boesch wines are aged on their lees until summer, and bottled in early September.

"Take a stroll through a garden of a thousand flavors!

This 100% Pinot Noir harmonizes a multitude of flavors. The nose opens with hazelnut purée, blueberry and raspberry. Magnolia flower, menthol, milk chocolate and ripe pear follow. The whole is carried by an ample mouthfeel, an airy touch and a long, gourmet finish. A spontaneous wine to share!

"The Riesling grape, which is typical of the northern Rhine Valley, is at its best here!

This 2021 vintage reveals a buttery Riesling, with aromas of toast and brioche. On the palate, the ageing process gives way to gourmet notes of vanilla and lemon tart. An ideal white to accompany a turkey with chestnuts!

"A vintage synonymous with pleasure".

The nose of Riesling Les Grandes Lignes is initially reserved, then opens up to brioche, white flowers, morello cherry and lime. Refreshing, the palate is held in all its length by a fine acidity in the background that gives the wine its crispness. (The wine has entered a reduction phase and should reopen in spring; if you wish to drink it before then, we recommend decanting a few hours beforehand).

gewurztraminer
potential

"A great racy wine with great potential".

"The Gewurztraminer is easily tamed by the strength of the Zinnkoepflé terroir: a still immature wine with plenty of reserves". (Le Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France 2022 - RVF). This prestigious terroir takes its name "Tête au Soleil" from its southern exposure. Vines flourish here at altitudes of up to 430 meters on a terroir of shell limestone. Gewurztraminer is the king of this sloping hillside, offering a majestic wine with oriental notes of spices, star anise and finely mentholated pepper. Powerful, delicate and long on the palate.

There's something magical about L'Enchanteur, with its whirlwind of undergrowth, toasted and candied fruit flavors. The lively, straightforward palate is immediately captivating. The wine seems weightless, the harmony between sweetness and acidity perfect.

"2017 marks a step forward for pinot noir, gaining depth and precision. Les Jardins offers a very pleasant crisp sensation, but Luss has more body and delivers an intense stone fruit sensation, matched by a crisp finish." (Le Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France 2020 - RVF) To be discovered!

From a 1.3-hectare parcel of limestone-sandstone soil, Pinot Noir Les Jardins is an Alsace red that benefits from talented, passionate winemaking. The nose opens with nutmeg and gunflint, followed by black cherry, licorice... The tannins are full-bodied, fat and silky, with a very long persistence of red fruits. A very fine Alsace red!

15/20 Bettane & Desseauve

"The Pinot Gris Clos Zwingel 2015 is dressed in a bright, lively lemon color. The wine offers a nicely ripe and concentrated, but also smoky, bouquet of fully ripe Pinot Gris berries, with notes of white seeded fruit, vegetal and spicy aromas (mustard seeds, caraway and cereals). Full-bodied, round and highly elegant, this is a rich, concentrated, highly complex and mineral Pinot. It has good structure, power, a certain sweetness and fine but firm tannins. The finish is tight but aromatic and reminiscent of the finest Crémants d'Alsace." (Wine Advocate 2017 - Robert Parker)
