"Cuvée de terroir unique".

"The 60-year-old vines produced just 25 hl/ha in 2019 to produce this fine Juliénas with rich aromas of black fruits, cocoa; fleshy, coated palate, with substance." (Bourgogne Aujourd'hui n°158 - April-May 2021). A choice vintage in Burgundian style not to be missed. A revelation for this young winemaker whose 1st vintage 2017 was already 2** Favorite Guide Hachette!

About the wine:

Favorite With this same 2017 cuvée, Benjamin Passot offers a beautifully crafted 2019, born of old vines over 80 years old. After 10 months in barrel, this Julienas presents woody notes (cocoa) that blend harmoniously with black fruits, relayed by a fleshy mouth, with pleasant depth, structured by fine tannins.

About the domain :

As a young winemaker, Benjamin Passot's first experience of winegrowing was at Vosne-Romanée. At the same time, he developed his own domaine and settled on a few acres of Juliénas in 2017. He has since taken over vineyards in Chénas and Chiroubles.

Lots of substance in this wine. The wood is still present and needs to be integrated. To be cellared for the time being.
