Le Point
"A fresh, gourmet dry white that's sure to please!
"Fruit galore, ripe apple, lychee and exotic fruit, amplitude and persistence: this fresh, gourmet wine makes you salivate and calls for another glass. Complete and nuanced, as is its blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Gris with Muscadelle and Semillon, it's sure to please. (Guide Hachette des Vins 2024) - Made from a predominantly Sauvignon blend, Château de Fontenille blanc carries a lively, intense lightness. A dry white wine that's perfect with a seafood platter or fish à la plancha.

Guide Hachette des vins
Wine rated (guide 2024) 2*Coup de Coeur (Outstanding wine)
Domain rated (guide 2023) Award-winning wines (The wines of this producer are regularly awarded by the guide)
About the wine:
Fruit galore, ripe apple, lychee and exotic fruit, amplitude and persistence: this fresh, mouthwatering wine begs for another glass. As complete and nuanced as its blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Gris with Muscadelle and Semillon, it's sure to please.
About the domain :
In 1290, the Fontenille site in the Entre-deux-Mers region was already planted with vines. Then part of the Sauve-Majeure abbey, this estate with its siliceous-clay terroir became independent in the 17th century. Since 1998, it has been run by Stéphane Defraine, who heads 56 ha of vines, including 20 white and 36 red, currently undergoing organic conversion.
RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Wine rated (2023 guide) 89/100
About the wine:
A Bordeaux blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Gris, Muscadelle and Semillon in this deliciously full-bodied white. More body than the average wine in this sector. Seductively exotic allongevity.
Le Point
Wine rated 15/ 20
About the wine:
Orange blossom, white fruit, full-bodied, harmonious and long on the palate.

Normal wine, too many etoiles d'hachette. A little gray for his taste

A pretty grapefruit nose, but the palate lacks liveliness.
