Château de Meursault
Château de Meursault began its history in the 11th century. In the early 19th century, the estate was enlarged, largely under the impetus of the Serre family, who carried out major architectural modifications and considerably developed the wine estate. Since 2012, the Château de Meursault is owned by the Halley family, who wish to continue and develop the château's reputation in France and abroad.

Visit Château de Meursault owns 60 hectares of vines, all located in the Côte de Beaune, in the communes of Aloxe-Corton, Savigny-lès-Beaune, Beaune, Pommard, Volnay, Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet. The vines, which are cultivated using organic methods, are ideally located and sheltered from the wind by the mountains to the west. The soils are rich in limestone on well-drained subsoils, giving the terroir all its richness. Thanks to a very special structure (vines in stakes), the 18 winegrowers on the estate work the same plots all year round, right up to the harvest, which is carried out exclusively by hand.

Built in 1980, the current winery features state-of-the-art equipment, based on a gravity-fed system that avoids unnecessary and damaging pumping.

Visit Château de Meursault is now considered one of Burgundy's finest wine estates.

"Much more complexity on the nose than the Bourgogne Terroir d'Exception. Fleshy, ripe fruit, lots of acidity. It takes time for all the components to come together, but there's a lot to expect from this wine. Very good concentration and freshness". (Jancis Robinson 2024)

"A great wine for laying down

"The domaine farms 2.63 ha of this climat located under the Chagnot mountain on the Monthelie side, which is also the largest 1er cru in the appellation (15.4 ha). Ruby-red, intensely scented with redcurrant and smoky notes, this 2020 delivers a forward-looking version, full and silky on the attack, then firmly structured by square tannins that invite patience." (Le Guide Hachette 2024). This is a wine with notes of black fruit and spices, fleshy body and well-presented tannins.

"Pale gold color, discreet but delicate nose of citrus fruit, white flowers, hazelnut and toast; silky, caressing palate, rich and fat but not flabby, stimulated to the finish by fine vivacity and structured without excess by elegant oak.
