With its intense garnet-red color, this Corbières 80% Syrah and 20% Grenache powerfully delivers aromas of black fruit, blackcurrant, blackberry, cherry, spices, licorice and smoke after 12 months' barrel ageing. Full-bodied on the palate, with round, coated tannins and an unctuous texture. A full-bodied cuvée to accompany dishes of character.

Guide Hachette des vins
Domaine noté (guide 2021) Award-winning wines (The wines of this producer are regularly awarded by the guide)
About the domain :
North-west of Lézignan-Corbières, a vast estate (180 ha) focused on exports, acquired in 1987 by Anne-Marie and Guilhem Durand. A first in Languedoc-Roussillon. In 2015, it was the first in Languedoc to pass into the hands of a Chinese group, the importer BHC International Wine Assets Management. Close to the Minervois region, the vineyard is set on an ancient terrace of the Aude, rich in rolled pebbles.

Dark red in color, with highly concentrated aromas of ripe black fruit and hints of garrigue. The palate opens with the same intensity same full-bodied, textured vigor, driven by robust, yet rounded and silky tannins. The finish is just as exuberant, with a hint of licorice and black pepper. Good aging potential. This masculine wine with a strong personality was enjoyed after decanting for 1 hour with caramelized Iberian pork spider, chorizo-red bell pepper cream and Catalan risotto. Score = 4.
