Domaine de La Chevalerie
Domaine de la Chevalerie is a perfect representative of the Bourgueil appellation. Located at the crossroads of Touraine and Anjou, in the Loire Valley, the Domaine de la Chevalerie family estate is run by Emmanuel and Laurie Caslot, the children of Pierre Caslot who died in 2014. The sparkling Stéphanie Caslot left us in February 2021.
This talented duo run the Domaine de la Chevalerie vineyard according to organic farming principles, perpetuating a tradition that goes back over 350 years to produce tasty cuvées that truly reflect their unique terroirs.

Domaine de la Chevalerie 's Bourgueil wines, made from plot-based or special cuvées, are as straightforward as the Cabernets that make them up, deep and always delicious when young. Although all in one piece, the estate's 38 hectares have multiple geological identities. For generations, observation has translated these nuances into specific Domaine de la Chevalerie cuvées.

"A Bourgueil of choice for this timeless, gourmet cuvée".

"A ravishing 2018 from Les Galichets that brilliantly evokes the solar concentration of the vintage through dark aromas of black fruit and spice, without tipping over into excessive illustration. Both soothing and energetic on the palate, this is a great wine for laying down at the beginning of its life". (Le Guide RVF 2024).

" Beautifully velvety on the palate, a little more overflowing than the cold, slender 2014. It will relax with energy." (Le Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France 2020 - RVF) This dynamic cuvée comes from young Cabernets imbued with the limestone expression of their hillside. Very fine finish, lengthened by beautiful bitters and smoky notes.

"This intensely colored cuvée offers a discreet initial nose which, when swirled, reveals elegant blackcurrant aromas. Well-balanced, full-bodied and long on the palate, it also unfurls fresh, fruity flavors that are reinforced by acidic notes on the finish. A bracing Bourgueil". (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2018)

"The crisp freshness of the grapes from the sandy vineyards bursts forth in Dyptique, fruity and tender, very precocious." Subtle vegetal notes recall the typicality of these 35-year-old Cabernet Franc vines. A crisp Bourgueil!
