A gourmet wine par excellence, Menetou-Salon red expresses itself through aromas of fresh red fruits: strawberry, raspberry, cherry. Fresh and light on the palate, with well-controlled acidity and round tannins. A generous Pinot with salivating length!

Estate rated (2016 guide) 3*Stars (High-quality production that can serve as a benchmark in its sector)
About the domain :
Philippe Gilbert is a winemaker of the utmost integrity, and for several vintages now has been working in the most natural way possible. The domaine has just launched a wine bar, Le Fluteau, featuring the estate's wines and those of winemaker friends.

Domaine noté (guide 2016) Sélectionné (We remind you that this guide is a prize list and as such, all the estates that appear in it, even without a star, represent, in our eyes, the excellence of French production).
About the domain :
Owner Philippe Gilbert has been working with oenologist Jean-Philippe Louis since the estate's qualitative revival twelve years ago. He is notably responsible for the conversion of the vineyard to biodynamic viticulture (Biodyvin label). The Renardières cuvées are made from the oldest Pinot Noir and Sauvignon vines. In recent vintages, the whites have taken on a breath of fresh air and saline length. After a very woody period, the reds have gained in finesse, without losing their maturity, and are gradually gaining in precision.

fruity but really light and short on the palate, lacking relief and character.

Not at all the nose of a Menetou, no fruit, not as good as the 10€ supermarket wines, go to Millet or Pellé instead, I'd like my money back.
