Domaine du Bagnol
Located on the prestigious Cassis terroir, the Domaine du Bagnol is one of the oldest estates in the area. Local archives trace its winegrowing history back to 1430, but Bagnol's activity did not formally appear until 1867, under the Marquis de Fesques.

Operated by the Genovesi family since 1997, the Domaine du Bagnol vines are worked with a true winemaking approach, cultivated organically since 2010 and the wines certified as Agriculture Biologique since 2014. The vineyard is located on one of the most beautiful sites in the Cassis AOC, at the foot of Cap Canaille.

Today, this family history continues, with the new generation at the helm. Sebastien Genovesi is in charge of the vines and cellar, with a personal investment in vinification; and Lisa Genovesi is in charge of sales and wine tourism. Now in charge of the 23-hectare estate, the team aims to preserve the authentic, unique character of Bagnol.

"A signature vintage, a fine representative of Cassis".

A blend of Grenache, Mourvèdre and Cinsault, the Cassis rosé reveals pleasant notes of peach, lychee and tangerine on the nose. On the palate, it's crisp, greedy and fresh, with a luscious, slender and lively feel, supported by a saline finish.

A blend of Marsanne, Clairette and Ugni blanc that reveals a complex, pleasant nose, with lovely aromas of white flowers, yellow fruit, citrus and fresh pineapple. Crisp, elegant and lively, the palate stretches into a finish of fine bitters tinged with minerality. A fine example of vintage typicity!

A beautiful blend of Mourvèdre and Grenache from the old vines of Cassis. This is a lovely Provençal red that exudes southern Provence, blending red and black fruit with spicy flavors of pepper, cinnamon... The palate is structured but pleasant, with great charm and excellent ageing potential. A rarity to be seized!

"Aged in barrel, Le Marquis de Fesques 2019 takes on a more exotic, unctuous quality, with a fine bitterness on the finish that carries the wine with length. A fine southern white for the table." (Le Guide RVF 2022) A tribute to the estate's founder, this parcel selection is a blend of Marsanne, Clairette and Ugni Blanc, vinified and aged in wood.

14,5/20 Bettane & Desseauve

(2015 vintage notes)

This pale yellow wine, with its crystalline reflections, reveals the nose of a great white Cassis. Notes of grapefruit and lime blossom emerge from the glass. On the palate, the attack is highly aromatic (citrus, exotic fruit). This is followed by a mellow texture and a very fresh finish.

Domaine du Bagnol rosé 2016 (Magnum)

14/20 RVF

(2015 vintage notes)

Domaine du Bagnol's Cassis rosé reveals a nose of wild strawberries and violets, which is repeated on the palate. The freshness of the fruit and the richness of the floral notes make this a very fine rosé for the table.
