"An exceptional vintage with density, balance, and richness."

The selection of old vines located in the heart of the "La Roncharde" plot, combined with the finest press juices, has made it possible to produce an exceptional cuvée with density and balance, richness and purity of fruit, depth and mineral concentration. The palate is pure and truly distinguished, combining immediate smoothness with a pleasant minerality. The wine then gradually develops dense, intense richness, with finesse and balance.

Rated estate (2023 guide) Recommended (Wine producer recommended by Robert Parker - The Wine Advocate)

About the estate:

Nestled in a small cul-de-sac in the heart of the village of Condrieu, Domaine Niero has only nine hectares of vines: four in Condrieu, two in Côte Rôtie, just over one in Saint-Joseph, and just under one in Crozes-Hermitage. There is also around one hectare dedicated to IGP Collines Rhodaniennes, both Syrah and Viognier. Although the clean and modern approach is undeniable, the wines are full of character and expressive of their different terroirs.

Wine rating (2026 guide) 94/100 Favorite

Rated estate (2024 guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking and, as such, all the estates listed in it, even those without stars, represent, in our opinion, the excellence of French production.)

About the estate:

Since 2004, Rémi has been at the helm of this family estate, which boasts a beautiful range of terroirs in Condrieu, with 4 hectares divided into six plots. He also produces several Côte-Rôtie vintages from the Viallière and Bassenon terroirs, as well as a Saint-Joseph vintage, Bois Prieur, and another in Crozes-Hermitage. The wines are serious, rather classic, with sometimes a little aging that marks them during their youth.
