"One of the few Vignon wines to see new wood (25%), the 2019 Rasteau is a blend dominated by Grenache, but with smaller amounts of Syrah and Mourvèdre. Laced with scents of garrigue and green peppercorns, it offers mixed berries on the medium- to full-bodied palate, and slightly more assertive tannins than Vignon's other wines." (Wine Advocate 2020)

About the wine:
Good freshness and fruit intensity, the tannins are not too dry or thick - though they are robust. Harmonious, with some underlying complexity, it should grow with time. Long finish. The oak works well (25% new wood), not smothering the fruit.

That said, it is by no means unaffordable, and although it can be cellared for another year or so, it should be consumed within the next 5-7 years.

Drunk in 08/24. Bright, limpid color. Complex, full-bodied fruit aromas. Silky on the palate, extending the nose with good length.
