Domaine Boudau
Domaine Boudau, located in the Agly valley, is run by the fourth generation of the Boudau family: Pierre and Véronique. The siblings, who have run the estate since 1993, have shifted production from Doux Naturels to dry wines, and have worked to highlight the potential of their terroirs. Domaine Boudau has been organic since the 2020 vintage.

Domaine Boudau is divided into two estates: Le Clos and Les Terrasses. Le Clos is located in the foothills of the Corbières mountains, covering 23 hectares in a single block of clay-limestone soil. The main grape varieties are Grenache and Syrah. Les Terrasses, a 27-hectare estate, lies on the Baixas plateau, on a quaternary clay-limestone terrace. Grenache Noir is again the dominant grape variety, complemented by Malvoisie, Maccabeu, Grenache Blanc and Vermentino.

"A dry, fruity Muscat!

A fruity, dry Muscat with a lemon color and green highlights. The nose is magnificently aromatic, a perfect reflection of Muscat, with aromas of lemon, lemongrass and orange blossom. Fresh and elegant, the palate gives the impression of biting into a bunch of Muscat grapes. Ideal with sea bass with fennel, or even a sweet and sour dish!

"The elegance of barrel-aged Grenache blanc".

"A half-white Grenache, half-Macabeu with a floral, vanilla nose, full and powerful on the palate, with lovely acidity and a woodiness that's still very present. We'll put it in the cellar for more mellowness, the pleasure is yet to come." (Le Guide Hachette 2024)

"The expression of Grenache in a supple, well-structured wine".

"Nose of black cherries, currants, dried herbs, stones and peppercorns. Medium-bodied and well-balanced. Nicely blended, with good harmony of texture and structure on the palate. Juicy and heavy with a savory finish and excellent length." (James Suckling 2023)

"The dominant mourvèdre grape gives a brilliant garnet-red hue with bluish highlights. The nose evolves from vanilla to licorice, while the generous, well-balanced palate offers quality tannins, with notes of grilled spices. Freshness on the finish. (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2022)

"This deep garnet-red cuvée with purple highlights reveals a nose of blackcurrant, blackberry and cherry jam. On the palate, the attack is extraordinarily smooth and generous. Volume, structure and power pave the way for a long finish. A gastronomic wine. (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2020)
