Domaine Schieferkopf - Gewurztraminer Trocken 2018
2.8/5 (4 reviews)
The supple, straightforward attack gives this Gewurztraminer all its power. Intense flavors of lychee, exotic fruit and citrus mingle on the nose and palate with notes of sweet spices. All the typicality of a Rhenish Gewurztraminer!
Domaine Schieferkopf - Silvaner Trocken 2017
3.5/5 (4 reviews)
White flowers and yellow fruit (quince, peach) leap from the glass to delight the nose. The palate, with its supple, full attack, is slightly acidic. The aromatic freshness brings structure, which is maintained on a long, beautiful finish. A cuvée full of charm and delicacy!
Domaine Schieferkopf - Riesling Trocken 2018
5/5 (1 review)
This dry Riesling from the Baden region is intense in fruit and white flowers right from the nose. On the palate, the acidic structure is reminiscent of citrus fruit mingled with a certain roundness. The saline finish is long. A perfect companion for spicy dishes, fish or creamy meats. A great success!
Domaine Schieferkopf - Gewurztraminer 2014
1/5 (1 review)
Planted on tertiary marl, Gewurztraminer asserts itself with beautiful tension and chiseled, citrus-marked bitters. Nevertheless, the grape loses none of its greediness. Notes of passion fruit, preserved lemon and ginger stand out clearly on the nose. A fine Gewurztraminer! Packaged in screw cap.
Domaine Schieferkopf - Riesling Via Saint-Jacques 2011
4/5 (2 reviews)
The nose of Riesling Via Saint-Jacques reveals notes of citrus fruit and finely spiced pineapple. The palate is marked by clean acidity and the characteristics of the schist terroir: freshness and minerality that carry through to the finish.
Domaine Schieferkopf - Riesling Lieu-dit Berg 2012
3/5 (1 review)
15,5/20 Bettane & Desseauve
"Beautiful mineral tension on the palate, salivating length, very dry finish, where Buehl offered a more oily texture." (Le Guide Bettane & Desseauve des Vins de France 2014) Citrus and mirabelle plum dominate the nose of this plot-based cuvée. The palate is lively, with saline bitterness and a beautiful minerality.
Domaine Schieferkopf - Riesling Lieu-dit Buehl 2010
91/100 Robert Parker

16/20 Gault & Millau

15,5/20 Bettane & Desseauve
"The 2010 Buehl Riesling offers juicy aromas of ripe peaches and apricots, tinged with the invigorating bitterness of their pits and smoky notes of black tea. Ample and fresh, especially for this vintage, it finishes with a marked minerality that some attribute to the blue slate soils. Scents of musk and peony on the palate lend a mystical touch to this wine, which should be followed through to at least 2020." (Wine Advocate 2014 - Robert Parker)
Domaine Schieferkopf - Riesling Lieu-dit Fels 2011
3/5 (1 review)
94/100 Robert Parker
-
15/20 Bettane & Desseauve
"The 2011 Fels Riesling brings out musky, bittersweet scents close to iris and narcissus. Apple and citrus are balanced by mineral notes. Like the Buehl, this wine is clear and straightforward. In all likelihood, this wine needs a little time after bottling to comment on it in the best possible conditions. A serious return on investment until at least 2022." (Wine Advocate 2014 - Robert Parker)
Domaine Schieferkopf - Sylvaner 2014
3/5 (2 reviews)
Inspired by the wines of Franconia (Germany), Michel Chapoutier went in search of Sylvaner to expand his range of Alsace wines. We find the freshness and crispness of the grape variety, with licorice notes and the minerality so characteristic of the winemaker.
Domaine Schieferkopf - Riesling Via Saint-Jacques 2012
The nose of Riesling Via Saint-Jacques reveals notes of citrus fruit and finely spiced pineapple. The palate is marked by clean acidity and the characteristics of the schist terroir: freshness and minerality that carry through to the finish.
