About wine:
Alsace is the only wine-growing region in France to offer Riesling-based crémants. And Riesling is Scherwiller's "specialty," championed by the Rieslinger brotherhood. It has earned this winery numerous awards for all types of wines. For the second time, this crémant has been awarded a Favorite. Fine bubbles, a delicate liveliness with a subtly vegetal and mentholated nose, and a seductive, rich and indulgent palate with aromas of white fruits, lime blossom, and jasmine: personality and elegance.
About the estate:
Based in Scherwiller, near Sélestat, Damien, joined by his daughter Aude, has been running a 16-hectare estate since 1998, supplementing its production with a wine trading business. Their vineyards are spread over three terroirs, including Frankstein, a granite grand cru around the neighboring village of Dambach-la-Ville.

It's not champagne! It's crémant! The Riesling is elegant and floral with a subtle but appealing aroma. Fine bubbles, very satisfying overall.

A lovely crémant with fine bubbles and delicate flavors. The grape variety gives it body and a long finish. The most popular wine of the crémant tasting evening thanks to its harmony with the region and its subtle petrol notes.

Crémant d'Alsace is not champagne. On the festive table, it suffered a little in comparison. But at this price, it's obviously not bad.
