Note : Guide Hachette 2** Etoiles (Vin Remarquable)
Clochemerle, or Vaux en Beaujolais, is a famous village perched high up in the heart of the Beaujolais vineyards, which has given its name to a wine with typical aromas of ripe red fruit (raspberry, wild strawberry, redcurrant) mixed with blackcurrant and blueberry. Exclusive distributor of the Clochemerle brand, Christophe Coquard has opted for a screw-cap closure, making it easy to open, preserving the freshness of the fruit and the conviviality of a moment of pleasure - an excellent 2005 to savor now!

Bettane & Desseauve

Domaine noté (guide 2014) Sélectionné (An estate or house that has won us over with one or more wines from its production, without us being able to give a general opinion on the style of the entire range)

About the domain :

"Christophe Coquard founded his own trading company in 2005. He offers a range of wines covering every appellation in Beaujolais, and more recently in neighboring Mâconnais. The labels are attractively decorated, and prices remain reasonable. The house didn't present its 2008s as we'd asked, but 2009s with a more flattering reputation. In this vintage, several crus disappointed us, but the regional appellations shone with fruit.
