Notes : Le Guide des Meilleurs Vins à Petits Prix (RVF) 15,5/20, Concours des Vins de Lyon Grand Or, Guide Hachette 1* (Very successful wine),
"With this wine, we find ourselves in the pulpy, sensual flesh of the bigarreau, where the full-bodied finish of the cru's granite base breathes. It's frank and very typical of Juliénas". (Le Guide des Meilleurs Vins à Petits Prix 2013 - Guide Rouge RVF). A Juliénas that's great to drink young, with its black fruit and floral aromas, and that will improve with one or two years of cellaring. Enjoy with coq au vin!

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine noté (guide 2014) Sélectionné (An estate or house that has won us over with one or more wines from its production, without us being able to give a general opinion on the style of the entire range)
About the domain :
"Christophe Coquard founded his own trading company in 2005. He offers a range of wines covering every appellation in Beaujolais, and more recently in neighboring Mâconnais. The labels are attractively decorated, and prices remain reasonable. The house didn't present its 2008s as we'd asked, but 2009s with a more flattering reputation. In this vintage, several crus disappointed us, but the regional appellations shone with fruit.
