Note: Guide Hachette 1* Etoile (Very successful wine)
Cru Brouilly boasts the largest vineyard in Beaujolais, with 1,200 hectares of Gamay vines producing a highly reputed nectar on granite and alluvial sand soils. The minerality of the blue and pink granite so characteristic of the appellation gives it roundness and tenderness on the palate, with subtle notes of red fruit on the nose. Superb!

Bettane & Desseauve

Domaine noté (guide 2014) Sélectionné (An estate or house that has won us over with one or more wines from its production, without us being able to give a general opinion on the style of the entire range)

About the domain :

"Christophe Coquard founded his own trading company in 2005. He offers a range of wines covering every appellation in Beaujolais, and more recently in neighboring Mâconnais. The labels are attractively decorated, and prices remain reasonable. The house didn't present its 2008s as we'd asked, but 2009s with a more flattering reputation. In this vintage, several crus disappointed us, but the regional appellations shone with fruit.
