Notes : Gerbelle & Maurange: 16/20 (Best AOC rating), Beaujolais Aujourd'hui: 2 Grappes
An evocative name for a naturally tender and elegant cru, opening with aromas of kirsch, spices and reseda, as well as a delicious blend of red fruit flavors. "Here's a wine that will make you fall in love with the most romantic cru on earth. Its sweet fruitiness silkily caresses the tongue." (Guide des Meilleurs Vins à Petits Prix 2009 - Gerbelle & Maurange)

Bettane & Desseauve

Domaine noté (guide 2014) Sélectionné (An estate or house that has won us over with one or more wines from its production, without us being able to give a general opinion on the style of the entire range)

About the domain :

"Christophe Coquard founded his own trading company in 2005. He offers a range of wines covering every appellation in Beaujolais, and more recently in neighboring Mâconnais. The labels are attractively decorated, and prices remain reasonable. The house didn't present its 2008s as we'd asked, but 2009s with a more flattering reputation. In this vintage, several crus disappointed us, but the regional appellations shone with fruit.
