The grapes are harvested from a 42-acre plot with very stony, schistose soil, rich in iron oxides, which is characteristic of this appellation. It produces a very fresh, bright purple wine, aged in barrels. Its distinctive kirsch aromas, combined with peppery nuances, blend delicately with animal and vegetal notes.

About the estate:
Winegrowers in Juliénas since the early 17th century, the Perrachons purchased Ch. de la Bottière in 1877, followed by Dom. des Perelles in Romanèche-Thorins (windmill). When he took over in 1989, Laurent Perrachon acquired Domaine des Mouilles, then plots in Morgon, Fleurie, and Saint-Amour: a total of 31 hectares, with vines in six crus. With Maxime and Adrien, the new generation joined the estate in 2016.

About wine:
Deep ruby in color, this wine has a nose of black raspberry, red currant, and black cherry. On the palate, the wine is muscular with developed, grippy tannins. This Morgon can be aged for over 6 years or enjoyed now after an hour of decanting.
