The best Morgon terroir, at the foot of the Côte du Py hill. The grapes are harvested from a 42-acre parcel of very stony, schistose soil, rich in iron oxides, a quality characteristic of this appellation. It produces a very fresh, bright purple wine, aged in barrels. Typical kirsch aromas with peppery nuances blend delicately with animal and vegetable notes.

Guide Hachette des vins
Domaine noté (guide 2020) Award-winning wines (The wines of this producer are regularly awarded by the guide)
About the domain :
Winegrowers in Juliénas since the early 17th century, the Perrachon family bought Ch. de la Bottière in 1877, then Dom. des Perelles in Romanèche-Thorins (windmill). When Laurent Perrachon set up in 1989, he acquired Dom. des Mouilles, then parcels in Morgon, Fleurie and Saint-Amour: a total of 31 ha, with vines in six crus. With Maxime and Adrien, the new generation joined the domaine in 2016.

About the wine:
Deep ruby in color, this wine has a nose of black raspberry, redcurrant and black cherry. On the palate, the wine is muscular with well-developed, gripping tannins. This Morgon can be aged for over 6 years, or enjoyed now with an hour's decanting.
